Rising to fame on the show “The Sing-Off”, the group were signed to Sony Music, who later dropped them – not to be deterred, they formed their own YouTube channel and began posting covers, which quickly racked up views, making their channel now one of the 50 most-subscribed to in the world!!

Some may have seen Pentatonix as more of a novelty act to begin with, but the five-piece have proven themselves a group worthy of respect, with their first full-length album, simply entitled “Pentatonix,” comprised almost entirely of original material, hitting the top of the Billboard 200 and smashing everyone’s expectations in the process!! “An original album was always a goal for us,” Mitch Grassi, the group’s tenor, explained, “but I think we just wanted to garner a fan base and work up to it slowly, because it’s not an easy thing to tackle.”
